Tahoe City Events: Free Sunday afternoon Concerts at Commons Beach 4:00-7:00pm, Wildlife WednesdayNature talks, Wednesday evening Movies on the Beach, Thursday morning Farmers Markets, Iron Man Triathlon September 22, Shopping, Dining, Cinema, the Gatekeepers Museum, and Historic Fanny Bridge (http://www.visittahoecity.org/).
Recreation:Rafting along the Truckee River, Sailing, Scenic Lake Cruises, Paddle Boarding, Kayaking, Waterskiing, Hiking and Mountain Biking on the Tahoe Rim Trail, and Fly Fishing.
Biking: Cruise the paved bike path from downtown Tahoe City along the stunning Truckee River while surveying river rafters heading to the River Ranch patio for lunch and rum punch; or pedal down the West Shore for a picnic at one of many lovely beaches.
Alpine Meadows: Adrenaline enthusiasts can access a number of single track Mountain Biking trails, Horse Stables offer trail riding through the Granite Chief Wilderness, and naturalists will enjoy Hiking the Five Lakes trail where multiple lakes and scenic vistas reward a moderately challenging 2 mile climb to the top of the back side of Squaw Valley’s infamous KT 22 ski run.
World Renowned Squaw Valley USA: Take the Aerial Tram to High Camp for lakeview Concerts, Roller Skating, Swimming, Mountain Biking, Guided Wildflowers and Full Moon Hiking Tours, Disc Golf, Paintball, and Tennis. A Ropes Course, Sky Jump, Mini-Golf and a Climbing Wall can be enjoyed at Squaw Valley Base Camp. The Village offers Dining, Shopping, Spa Services, Wine and Arts Festivals, Winemaker Events at Uncorked, Tuesday Bluesday’s featuring notable Blues Musicians paired with Shopping and Dining promotions, and Thursday Night Summer Movies @ 8:30 pm.
Golfing: 9 Hole Courses in Tahoe City and Kings Beach, 18 Hole Championship Courses are in Squaw Valley, Tahoe Donner, Truckee, Northstar, and Incline Village.
