Summer Vacation Spots for Kids in Lake Tahoe ~ Children's Activities
KID ZONE:
KID ZONE in Truckee, CA.
THe Kid Zone is located at 11711 Donner Pass Road next to the Truckee High School in the Yurt Building. The Kid Zone has an indoor jungle gym, an infant crawler area, and an Interactive Children's Museum. There is a fee for daily use. Anyone that belongs to the Associated Children's Museums (Discovery in Sausalito or Habitot in Berkeley) receive free admission. This is a great place for Kids! COMMONS BEACH:
Renovated Tahoe City Beach with lots of playgrounds, picnic areas, large sand and grass areas. The Farmer's Market is hosted here every Thursday from 8-1pm.
KILNER PARK:
Located on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, approx. 5 miles from Tahoe City, Kilner Park has the biggest spiral slide in Tahoe. Kilner Park also offeres tennis courts, volleyball nets, biking and walking trails, and plenty of picnic tables.
SKYJUMP TRAMPOLINE:
Located in the Village at Squaw Valley, the Skyjump is a favorite among the kids. Summer hours 10am-8pm, Winter 11am-6pm (weather permitting). Call (530) 583-7673 to verify hours.
