Q: Why can't I make a reservation over the internet?

A: We strive to carefully match you and your party to the right house. An online description, no matter how thorough, is no substitute for a rental agent who is intimately familiar with each of our homes.

Q: How do I make a reservation?

A: Once we have found the right house for you, we will send you a contract via email or fax. Your reservation is not confirmed until you fax your signed contract back to us with a credit card number to hold the reservation.

Q: Will my credit card be charged immediately?

A: NO. The credit card number on the contract is to hold the reservation only. Payment is due 8 weeks prior to arrival and we will contact you before we charge your card, unless you specify at the time of confirmation that you would like that card to be used for payment.
Exception: Vacation Rental Insurance coverage begins from the time of payment of the premium, so we do ask for that payment immediately.

Q: Why do you ask for a check for my security deposit?

A: Since we do not cash security deposit checks unless there are damages or outstanding charges from your rental, a check allows us to have access to the money if needed without having to hold onto your money. If there are no damages or charges, your check will be destroyed after 21 days. If you would like the check returned, please specify when you send it.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: Once we receive the signed contract, Renter is obligated to pay the full rental payment. If renter cancels the reservation after Owner receives the signed contract, Owner will attempt to rebook the Premises at the same rate. If Owner is able to rebook the Premises at the same rate, Renter will receive a refund less 10% of rental amount as a cancellation fee. If Owner is able to rebook Premises at a lower rate, Renter will receive a refund in the amount of the rebooked rental, less 10% of the rental amount. If Owner is unable to rebook the Premises, Renter’s rental payment, excluding Hotel Tax and departure clean, will be forfeited. We recognize that this is a strict policy, however, these homes are in high demand and renter must be fully committed before making the reservation.

Q: Why should I purchase travel insurance?

A; Because of our strict cancellation policy, we recommend travel insurance to cover you in case you have to cancel. Once on your vacation, travel insuranc covers you and your party in case of injury or illness, natural disasters or unexpected family emergencies that might cause you to cut your trip short. While on your vacation, CSA (our insurance provider) offers a 24 hour nurse hotline, legal referral, lost ticket and baggage assistance, and many other benefits.
