In the wake of the devastating wildfires that killed 43 people and destroyed more that 150,000 acres and nearly 9,000 structures, Northern California continues to mourn while facing rebuilding projects that may take years.
It was heartbreaking to watch this natural disaster so close to home. As displaced families fled to Tahoe to avoid the dangerously smoke-filled air, we decided to make a sizable donation to bring relief to the victims and aid in rebuilding the communities.
We could not be more thrilled to announce that Tahoe Luxury Properties is donating $10,425 towards Northern California relief funds. The amount has been donated both directly to fire victims as well as to funds that support relief efforts in all four counties affected, including the Redwood Empire Food Bank, the Napa Valley Community Foundation, and the Redwood Credit Union North Bay Fire Relief Fund.
Thanks to the heroic effort of 11,000 firefighters battling 21 major fires, the fires are now nearly 100% contained. While there may be a long road ahead, we are proud the region has been deemed " a model to the world in rescue, in relief and now, in recovery."
