With breathtaking views and eight miles of shoreline, Donner Lake is a peaceful mountain reatreat. Recreation is at your doorstep with hiking trails, backcountry skiing, rock climing, and camping all immediately accessible. Boating, kayaking, fishing, and paddleboarding are all popular activities on Donner Lake. The west end of the lake is a large sandy beach where families gather to enjoy summer days. On the east end is Donner Memorial State Park with walking trails and picnic areas. 

Located directly off highway 80 and just three miles from downtown Truckee, Donner Lake is easily accessible.
