Resorts are reporting up to 8 feet of snow from the last storm system to come throught the Lake Tahoe & Truckee area last weekend. Starting late Friday night through Tuesday evening, multiple feet of snow fell even at lake level, making it one of the largest November snow storms to hit the Sierra. Alpine Meadows Ski Area reported that, based on their own snow records, since the 1970s there have been less than a handful of November storms with this amount of accumulation. What a great way to kick off the season! We even got snowed in at our office in Tahoe City.
