  • Vikingsholm Castle - Tahoe's South/West Shore, Emerald Bay.
    Beachfront Castle built 1929 by the eccentric Lora J. Knight as a summer home. Extensive, unabridged history given with the tour.
  • Watson Cabin - Downtown Tahoe City
    Oldest building in Tahoe City, built in 1909 by Robert Montgomery Watson.
  • Old Jail Museum. Jibboom Street in Downtown Truckee
    One of just a few of 19th Century jailhouses of its kind in the west.
  • Cal Neva Tunnel Tours - Crystal Bay
    Tour tunnels once used to smuggle libations during prohibition, as well as high-profile guests (Marilyn, Frank and his Rat Pack, etc.) and well, shall we say... the suddenly departed.

    Learn of the railroads historical and present-day significance for the Truckee region as well as transcontinental passage.

  • Tahoe Maritime Museum - Homewood (Tahoe's west shore)
    Lots of historic wooden boats, artifacts, and historic information about Tahoe's long, rich history of boating for both practical and leisure reasons.
  • Squaw Valley Olympic Heritage Museum - Squaw Valley
    Learn of the 1960 Winter Olympic Games which were held at Squaw Valley, as well as Tahoe's endless history of supporting winter sports and athletes.
