Take the family out for open-air movies at these outdoor movie series. 

NEW! Homewood Hosts Drive-In Movies on Saturday Nights

The 20ft x 13ft screen will be setup at the North Lodge back dropped by the mountains creating a memorable experience for visitors and locals alike. Homewood’s Drive In Movies will be shown on Saturday nights throught the summer. Gate opens at 7pm. Showings will include second-run movies that are newly released from the theaters and the audio will be broadcasted via radio waves where movies goers will tune into the channel through their car stereos. Tickets are $15 per car, or movie goers can walk or bike-in for free. There will be limited chairs available and walk-ins are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or seats. The new Mountain View BBQ will be open during the movie where guests may purchase snacks and beverages. No outside food or beverages will be allowed. Find the schedule and purchase tickets here. FREE Movies on The Lawn Every Tuesday at West Shore Cafe

Tuesday nights throughout the summer the West Shore Cafe will host Movies on the Lawn. Shows start at 8pm and are free for everyone. Family friendly flicks such as Willy Wonka and the Chocolate FactoryCaddyshackPirates of the CaribbeanSandlot will air. They will serve flatbread pizza, truffle parmesan popcorn, beer, wine and other snacks to share. Sit less than 100 feet from the lake shore as you enjoy some of the classics with family and friends. All movie goers are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs. FREE Movies Every Wednesday on Commons Beach

FREE Movies Every Thursday at The Village at Squaw Valley

From July 2 through August 27th, Squaw Valley will screen free outdoor movies every Thursday night at 8:30pm. Families and friends can snuggle up under the stars while enjoying new releases and family classics on the big screen in the Events Plaza. Saturday Night Adventure Series in Truckee

In the back courtyard of the Calfiornia 89 store in downtown Truckee, Saturday nights host an adventure film series. Bring blankets. Films start at 7pm and entry is $5. Films range from kayaking the Aleutians to road biking to skiing, and much more. Find the movie schedule here
