SnowFest is back! And with it comes 10 days of quintessentially Tahoe events!! Check out the COMPLETE schedule below and then mark your calendar with all of the fun, wild, and wacky events that will entertain the entire family. 

Every spring since 1982, North Lake Tahoe comes alive with 10 fun-filled days and nights, jam packed with events and activities for all ages. This year, the annual favorites will be back, along with a host of great new ones! On and off the mountain, at North Tahoe's numerous resorts and vibrant lakeside neighborhoods, there's something for everyone. Enjoy on-snow events at resorts like Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Homewood, Diamond Peak, and Northstar California. Participate in special events, parades, races, parties, concerts, theater; and of course, there's plenty of wining and dining to be had at North Lake Tahoe's fine restaurants and lively establishments.

5:00pm: SnowFest! Kickoff Party at Gar Woods Grill & Pier
A $30 donation at the door gets you into the party, which includes: Beer, Wine, and Wet Woody's, as well as Heavy appetizers for all.

The 39th Annual Dick Linkey Rotary Ski Challenge at Northstar

6:00pm: SnowFest! Queen Coronation at the Village at Squaw Valley
Each candidate is running as a representative for one of 5 non-profit organizations in the area. The Queen is chosen based upon raffle ticket sales, GPA, a resume, community involvement, and an interview.

7:00pm: On-Mountain Fireworks Display and Torch Light Parade at Squaw Valley - TLUXP Staff Pick!
Watch as Squaw Valley lights up under the mountain stars with a beautiful torchlight parade and an amazing fireworks.

Saturday, February 28

7:00am: North Tahoe Firefighters Pancake Breakfast in Tahoe City - TLUXP Staff Pick!
Bring the whole family and help support the North Tahoe Firefighters Association. Hot pancakes and sausages will be served with fruit, milk, coffee, and OJ., all prepared by your local firefighters. Adults $8 / Children 4-12 ~ $5 / 3 & under FREE!

11:00am: Tahoe Blue Agave's Parade Central at the Blue Agave in Tahoe City
This is the spot where the parade folks execute their demonstrations for the announcers.

11:00am: Paint the Bear at North Tahoe Arts in Tahoe City
North Tahoe Arts and the BEAR League invite children of all ages to stop by the North Lake Tahoe Arts Center to paint a wooden bear after the SnowFest! Parade in Tahoe City. Refreshments will be provided There will be a bear art exhibit in our upstairs gallery in conjunction with this event. Children can see what a bear den looks like, and learn about the bears around Lake Tahoe. Ages 5-12, FREE

11:00am: Rosies Parade Watching Party at Rosie's Cafe, Tahoe City

11:30am: Tahoe City SnowFest! Parade in downtown Tahoe City
Come to town early today to grab your parking spot to see the Tahoe City SnowFest! Parade. This fun, eclectic, funky, mountain town parade has something for everyone. From shovelers to clowns, dogs, kids and snow machines... it's definitely a fun, and rowdy day in Tahoe City.

12:30pm: Pete 'n Peters Post Parade Party
Immediately after the parade.....Join in all the fun at Pete's for drink specials and all the rest of the festivities! Fun to be had by all with your neighbors and the Vulcans from the St. Paul Minnesota Winter Carnival - this year's Grand Marshals of the Tahoe City SnowFest! parade.

12:30pm: Mobility Rock Band Concert

1:00pm: Stohlgren Bros Ice Cream Eating Contest at the Tahoe City Fire Station

2:30pm: Gar Woods Polar Bear Swim - A SnowFest! Highlight & TLUXP Staff Pick! 
The 26th Annual Polar Bear Swim will be North Lake Tahoe's "Coolest" event! Hundreds of spectators will line the pier to watch hardy souls brave the frigid waters of Lake Tahoe. Complimentary appetizers are provided for all, and following the event is the hugely popular raffle in the bar at Gar Woods. Swim participants can also enjoy the hot tubs provided by Pomin's Hot Tubs. Swimmers can register ahead at www.Garwoods. com. Festivities begin at 11:30, with swimmer Check in at 1:30, Race at 2:30.Swim entry: $30 advance / $35 day of. 18 and over. (530) 546-3366

Sunday, March 1

10:00am: Arctic Paddle at Waterman's Landing in Carnelian Bay
The Arctic Paddle is not just a race, it is a celebration of winter paddling and the beautiful winter in Lake Tahoe with family fun on and off the water. The race course will depend on weather conditions. Waterman's Landing will be open serving hot beverages, food, and s'mores!

11:00am: SnowFest! Dawg Pull at the Tahoe City Golf Course - TLUXP Staff Pick! 
"Calling ALL Dogs! Calling ALL Dogs!" Enjoy some friendly racing for dogs of all ages and sizes. There will be treats for all competitors and prizes for winners! The famous SnowFest Dawg Pull will take place sunshine, rain or snow at the Tahoe City Golf Course. Dogs of all sizes will pull a weighted sled across the snow (or grass) to take home the championship in their category. Dogs of all breeds, sizes and colors are encouraged to participate. Signups start at 11:00 am. $10 entry fee per dog. Food and beverages available during the event.

1:00pm: Granlibakken's Gone "Bonkers" Kids Ski & Snowboard Race
Granlibakken hosts its 2nd annual kids ski and snowboard obstacle course competition. It's an all out, top to bottom race over natural terrain, complete with gates, obstacles, bumps and fun. If you don't ski or board come anyway! The afternoon includes family fun for all ages. *In case of no snow, we will have alternate family fun events for all ages - face painting, s'mores, and other activities. Ages: 5-12 Entry: $20

4:00pm: Sunnyside's Annual Luau
Enjoy Hawaiian inspired cuisine and cocktails at Sunnyside's Mountain Grill. Wear your Hawaiian attire, and bring your Aloha spirit! Sign up for the Hula Pie Eating & Hula Hoop contests to win great prizes!

Monday, March 2

5:00pm: Za's Clam Bake
Za's restaurant will be hosting a traditional East Coast clam bake. The menu will include expertly prepared clams, chicken, potatoes, and corn. $25.

Tuesday, March 3

6:00pm: Pete 'N Peters Bar Game Olympics

1:00pm: Truckee River Winery 4th Annual Wine & Ice Competition
Come to Truckee's local winery and watch talented local professionals transform large blocks of ice into works of art. Listen to the amazing stylings of DJ Chango and enjoy some winter fun. Proceeds will benefit the High Fives Foundation. All ages welcome! $10 Cover (includes your donation, souvenir wine glass, and Mardi Gras beads.

6:00pm: Girls' Night Out! "Bunco Bash" at the North Tahoe Events Center in Kings Beach
No experience required. There will be appetizers, wine and beer on hand, not to mention the raffle and silent auction with LOTS of Prizes!  $25

9:00pm: Rosie's BINGO Night at Rosie's Cafe in Tahoe City

Thursday, March 5

5:30pm: Meet the Squaw Rescue Dogs at the North Tahoe Visitor Center in Tahoe City 
The Squaw Valley Rescue Dogs are ready for a tail-wagging good time. Learn how they save lives and become rescue dogs. Get your picture taken with a furry friend. All photo proceeds go to the Squaw Valley Avalanche Rescue Dog and Education Fund. Complimentary adult and child beverages provided!

5:30pm: SnowFest Skills & Prowess Test at Blue Agave
Contestants to show their prowess and compete in a basketball, football & hockey skills test. Skills include free throws & 3-point shots, hockey goal scoring and football passing accuracy. Prizes awarded for the athletes with the most prowess and skills. Sign up at Blue Agave or the Tahoe City Downtown Association office. Proceeds to benefit the TCDA 4th of July fireworks.

Friday, March 6

5:00pm: 7th Annual Bridgetender Rib Fest - TLUXP Staff Pick! 
An outdoor extravaganza of BBQ ribs takes place on the outside patio & bar of the BT with lots of great ribs & drink to be had by all! 5:00 pm until the ribs are all gone.

7:00am: Diamond Peak Uphill Downhill Dash
Earn your turns at the Diamond Peak Uphill/Downhill Dash sponsored by Tahoe Mountain Sports! Race to the top of the mountain using whatever human powered method you prefer. Skin, snowshoe or run to the top; ski, snowboard or snowshoe down; then head back up to the mid-mountain Snowflake Lodge for awards and prizes. There is a $10 entry fee and you can use any human powered equipment to get up and down, just no sleds or sled type objects

8:30am: NTPUD Pancake Breakfast at the North Tahoe Events Center in Kings Beach
Enjoy hot pancakes topped with strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream, accompanied by sausage, orange juice, hot chocolate, milk and coffee. Adults $8 / children $3 / 3 and under FREE! All proceeds benefit "Dog Day in the Park" and "Friends of the Park". Sponsored by the North Tahoe Public Utility District.

10:00am: Dress Up Your Dog contest
Prizes for different categories and free entrance into the Kings Beach Parade to follow. Stroll with your prized pooches down the parade route in Kings Beach.

11:30am: Kings Beach SnowFest! Parade - A TLUXP Staff Pick! 
This annual fun-filled event featuring entertaining entries from 30-40 local community and non-profit organizations and businesses. Spectators are invited to watch the parade which travels east along highway 28 in downtown KB and are encouraged to spend the day in Kings Beach for abundant SnowFest activities and events.

1:00pm: Snow What? Snow Building Contest at the Kings Beach Library
Great event for the entire family. FREE

4:00pm: TEA Winter Expo at Diamond Peak - TLUXP Staff Pick!
Hands-on, interactive showcase of winter activities for all ages-- snow sculpting, cross-country skiing, snow shelter building, avalanche preparedness and much, much, more! Bring the whole family for a a free afternoon and evening filled with educational, adventure based exhibitions!

6:00pm: LUNAFEST Film, Food and Wine - TLUXP Staff Pick!
Tickets include wine tasting, sampling of local cuisine, silent auction, and award-winning films. The short films will compel discussion, make you laugh, tug at your heartstrings and motivate you to make a difference in your community. 100% of proceeds benefit Girls on the Run- Sierras and the Breast Cancer Fund. Admission: $35 Advance / $45 Day of . Ages 21+ 

7:00pm: Kings Beach "After 8" SnowFest Mardis Gras Masquerade at the North Tahoe Events Center in Kings Beach
Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball. Grammy nominated Andre Thierry and Zydeco Magic deliver soulful and traditional World/Zydeco/Blues! Begin the evening with free Zydeco dance instruction! Costumes and masks encouraged! Prizes will be awarded. Full bar; food available for purchase. Smoke free venue. Admission is $20 per person for 18+ and $5 for under 18. Proceeds benefit "Friends of the Park" 

7:00pm: Queen Raffle Drawing at the North Tahoe Events Center in Kings Beach

Sunday, March 8

1:00pm: Tahoe Donner Ididarun at the Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area
Dogs pulling covered wagon sleds across a snow covered course against the clock! This is a great event for spectators. Best views from the track side or on the Ski Lodge deck. Event sign ups start at noon, and the race begins at 1 pm. Food & drinks are available for purchase at The Downhill Ski Area, so come on out and join in all the fun with the whole family today! Raffle proceeds to benefit the Humane Society of Tahoe-Truckee All ages welcome to watch! 4 Different dog categories : $20 per entry

2:00pm: River Ranch's Snow or Sand Sculpting Contest
Tahoe Redneck Beach Party, Barbecue and DJ on the Patio and a Bay Watch Reunion all in one. Rain, snow or shine. The patio will be in full swing with a bar serving beer, drink specials and more. The BBQ will be lit with burgers and chicken sandwiches hot off the grill. Snow/Sand judging takes place at 3:00. Team awards at 3:30pm. Raffle at 4:00pm. Raffle with awesome prizes and proceeds to benefit Disabled Sports USA Far West. All ages.

7:30pm: Fine 'n Funky Fashion Show at Jakes on the Lake
