Northstar California - Pondskim - Spring It On

Join Northstar in the annual Pond Skim as part of the Spring It On Celebration! The Pond Skim is free to participate in and will be taking place on Saturday, April 2nd. Guest can register from 9am to 10:30am on the Gondola Deck, 11am start. Hurry to get there because they are going to be taking only the first 75 people to sign up. Participants must be 6 years old and above, have a gondola/lift ticket, sign a waiver, and be assigned a number. Don’t forget to dress up, we will be judging on best costume as well as pond crossing. Immediately following the Pond Skim, there will be a Tug-O-War contest across the arctic pond, with teams of six. This event is also free to the first eight teams who register in the morning from 9am–10:30am on the Gondola Deck. This single elimination style contest will prove which team rules the Spring It On Pond. 

Diamond Peak - Dummy Downhill 

The 16th annual Dummy Downhill is on Saturday, April 2nd, 2016! Participants build a dummy on skis (or a snowboard) that gets launched off a big jump on Show-Off and spectators can view the action from the Base Lodge Deck. This wacky event is fun for the whole family. Dummies must be at the base lodge by 10am to be judged on creativity. Dummies cannot be live and must weigh less than 75lbs. Team captains should be present to help load the dummies after they have been judged and unload at the top of the jump. The jumping will be followed by an award ceremony on the Base Lodge Deck and live music by local band, Owen Big. 

Squaw Valley - Winter Wondergrass

 

WinterWonderGrass Tahoe is three days of world-class Bluegrass/Acoustic Roots music on three stages, California craft breweries and beer tasting all under the snow covered peaks at Squaw Valley. It's going to be an epic weekend bringing together those who love music, mountains and a good time! Single day tickets and three-day festival passes are available online. Packages that include lift tickets are also available.

Alpine Meadows - Telemark Festival

This is a one day tele-filled festival, Saturday, April 2nd at 9am. The day includes clinics, fun races, food and tailgating. Registration is $50 for season passholder, $89 for non-passholders. Clinic includes 2.5 hour group lesson, lunch, lift ticket, and telemark equipment. All abilities welcome: beginner, intermediate, advanced. For ages 9+
