Friday Night: 5pm: Lake Tahoe Music Festival at Skylandia Park 

Join the Festival Academy Orchestra under the pines and on the north shores of Lake Tahoe at the beautiful Skylandia Beach and Park. Maestro Timm Rolek and 20 young musicians will present an amazing and intimate evening framing the backdrop of Lake Tahoe. Soloists Laurie Hamilton and Chris Kachian will perform selections that highlight violin, cello and classical guitar.  Bring your low chairs, picnics and wine as you join in on this unique experience at Lake Tahoe. Gates at 5pm, Meet the Musicians at 5:30pm, Music at 6pm. $20/person, 12 and under - free.

Saturday: 11am-7pm. 6th Annual Peaks and Paws Festival at Squaw Valley

Come on out for a fun-filled day with your canine companions in the Village at Squaw Valley. The festival features fun dog-themed entertainment, fun activities for the whole family, adoptable dogs, wine & beer tasting and great bluegrass music! Bands performing are: Bison, The Show Ponies, Worn Out Welcome, and Poor Man's Whiskey.

Saturday Night: 7pm: The California 89 Adventure Series Outdoor Movies

This Truckee shop screens movies in their outdoor courtyard every Saturday night. This week showcases HALF THE ROAD, a documentary film that explores the world of women’s professional cycling, focusing on both the love of sport and the pressing issues of inequality that modern-day female riders face in a male dominated sport. Beer & grilled sausages will be served. $5/person. Bring blankets and dress warm! Doors at 7pm, Movie starts at dusk. Located in Truckee behind the California 89 store on Donner Pass Road.

Friday Through Sunday: Pacific Fine Arts Festival

Set on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, the 7th annual Tahoe City Fine Arts and Crafts Festival will give visitors a special opportunity to meet with more than 45 artisans and craftspeople showcasing a wide variety of arts and crafts including photography, oil paintings, ceramic vessels, jewelry and much more. Providing a unique venue for patrons to view original handmade creations while enjoying the outdoors, this free event takes place Fri-Sun, 10am-5pm each day at the Boatworks Mall in Tahoe City.
