Fresh Tracks is a classic, mountain home designed to reflect the majesty of the surrounding mountains in the exclusive, Northstar Big Springs neighborhood. As you enter Fresh Tracks vacation rental and step into the foyer you are immediately welcomed by wood-ensconced cathedral ceilings, slate flooring with radiant heat and sunshine streaming through multiple windows. Entertaining at Fresh Tracks is ideal with a spacious, open floor plan boasting a custom dining table with seating for eight, a large center island and a professional interior design. Enjoy the fabulous great room showcasing a floor-to-ceiling wood fireplace, a Samsung Frame television and a cozy, adjoining sunroom, with a gas fireplace. Fresh Track's gourmet kitchen caters to the chef in the family with a stainless steel Viking professional series range wiht griddle / oven, top-of-the-line countertop appliances and cookware, such as a Ninja Smart XL Indoor Grille and Instant Pot, a walk-in pantry and ample seating with a both a breakfast nook and counter seating for four. Topping off the entry level is a primary suite with a private balcony, 42" television, and bath with a jetted tub, plus two additional bedroom suites for one-level living. Downstairs, the kids will thoroughly enjoy the family room with a 70" Samsung television, ample seating and access to the outdoor hot tub.

Fresh Tracks is also outfitted with comfort and high tech convenience including five Samsung smart televisions, a Sonos One in the great room / a Sonos Sound Bar in the family room / Echo Dots in all bedrooms (all Alexa responsive), an active security camera at the front door and 400 mbps internet speed. For those with electric vehicles, there is a 220 volt charger conveniently located in the 2-car garage and a transition room to the home for snow gear and clothing in decorative "lockers."

The most unique feature of this Northstar rental home however may be the immediate access to world-class ski terrain. At Fresh Tracks, you are within walking distance to Timberline Chairlift, located at the end of the cul-de-sac. A metal staircase leads from the street to the lift for easy access. Kindly note, the chairlift only operates when there is sufficient snow / adequate weather conditions to support opening. As an additional convenience, the Northstar shuttle is available to pick you up from the front of the house and deliver you to the Village gondolas.

The NPOA Recreation Center provides guests with access to three pools (lap pool open year round), two hot tubs, dry saunas, fitness facility, tennis courts, summer camps and clinics, basketball, kids' playground, massages and summer activities for a daily guest fee. Free shuttles operate between Northstar homes and the Village center.

The Village at Northstar offers dining, entertainment, spa services, and shopping options with numerous restaurants and shops, a movie theater, ice skating/roller skating rink, and more. Please note that during the Spring and Fall seasons, when Northstar's winter and summer mountain operations are closed, the Village restaurants and retail outlets run on a modified schedule. Expect limited dining and shopping options during these periods - typically between the end of ski season through late June and after Labor Day through mid-November.

Northstar's Timberline Lift is Located at the end of the Cul-de-Sac. A Metal Staircase Leads from the Street to the Lift for Easy Access. Lift Operation is Not Guaranteed. The Lift Typically Operates if there is Sufficient Snow / Adequate Weather Conditions to Support Opening. Renter must be at least an intermediate skier to access. See Photos in Image Gallery
Please Note: Due to High Fire Danger, the Firepit is Not Available for Guest Use in the Spring / Summer / Fall.

Payment Terms

Minimum Night Requirements vary by property, season and arrival date. Online booking is available when your length of stay meets the minimum night requirements. If you would like a shorter stay than required online, please call or email our office, and we will be happy to accommodate your request whenever possible.
Payment Terms: Upon confirmation of the Vacation Rental Agreement, 25% of the base rent (and pet fee, if applicable), as well the full amount of travel insurance (if selected), is due. The balance of the base rent, cleaning fee, and Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) are due 60 days prior to arrival. If the Agreement is entered into less than 60 days prior to arrival, the total amount is due in full with the signed Agreement. For all payments paid by credit card, a non-refundable credit card processing fee of 3.8% will be added to the total amount. Please inquire and/or review the Vacation Rental Agreement for additional information.
Cancellation Policy: For stays that are 29 nights or less, a written cancellation must be received 60 days prior to the arrival date. For stays that are 30-59 nights, a written cancellation must be received 90 days prior to the arrival date. For stays that are 60 nights or longer, a written cancellation must be received 120 days prior to the arrival date. For cancellations made prior to the non-refundable deadline, a 10% cancellation fee is applied. This fee is subject to applicable county TOT. Cancellations made after the canclleation deadlines will not be refunded. Travel insurance premiums are non-refundable at all times.
Travel Insurance is offered through CSA/Generali Global Assistance. Insurance covers the cost of a cancellation or trip interruption due to unforeseen conditions such as illness or road closures. Coverage may be provided in certain circumstances for baggage delay, theft, medical & dental expenses, or emergency assistance. Please inquire for greater details and/or limitations.

Beautiful Home

This is our second time staying in this home, and it checks all the boxes for us - beautiful home, well appointed, and great location. We especially appreciate the open concept upstairs that combines the kitchen, dining area, and great room. It allowed our extended family of seven adults to spread out and yet be close to the action. Four of our family worked remotely for a few days and had plenty of bandwidth and room to conduct business. Quiet location and just minutes to the village, the lake, and Truckee. Grocery stores, Raley’s (less than 10 min.), and Safeway (less than 15 min.) are close by. We choose to rent directly from Tahoe Luxury Properties (TLUXP) because of their excellent communication and follow up. (Thanks, Jessie!) We will be back again.

Family Vacation Winter Break 2023

Great house with all the amenities. Well configured kitchen and facilities to cook meals for 7 to 10 people. Hired a chef from the concierge's list for a dinner with family and friends which was FANTASTIC. Beautiful fireplace and great room for family time (and plenty of firewood). Shuttle to Northstar was great and so convenient, getting picked up and dropped off at the top of the driveway.

Exclusive Mountain Home

We spend a week or more each summer in the Northstar area. This home is our new favorite. It is beautifully decorated. We loved the quiet, off-the-beaten-path location, yet it’s only minutes from the village. The house itself is beautiful, with a true nod to the Lake Tahoe vibe. The stone fireplace and numerous windows marry the indoors and outdoors perfectly. The reading room with a Dutch door is a perfect escape or work spot. The kitchen is large and well-stocked. Four bedrooms (two up, two down, including a bunk room) and four baths let everyone spread out. The bunk room and adjacent game room provide a great spot for the kids to play away from the more stately upstairs. A grill, outdoor table, fire pit, and hot tub complete the amenities. Well stocked with beach towels too. If you are new to the Northstar area, this home is less than 15 minutes to Truckee (one direction) and about the same distance in the opposite direction to the lake. The village and pool area are about 5 minutes away. Thank you for sharing your home!

Delightful Property, Extremely Well Managed

Our experience started with Jennifer from the rental department. I phoned to see if there was a property suitable for us, and she took the time to chat about the pros and cons of the various locations for our family. I was impressed that she recommended the less expensive property. It was closer to the village, which would make skiing for our grandchildren easier. The property was lovely. It suited our needs as a family with grandchildren perfectly, with games and hot tub. The grandchildren enjoyed having a jacuzzi bath in the evenings in our bathroom. Jennifer even allowed me to send a package to her office in advance of our stay. Everything was clearly labeled. Instructions sent by email beforehand were also clear.The electronic check-in monitor was not functioning on our arrival as the internet was down. I phoned the off-hours emergency number and was talked through rebooting it immediately. Everything functioned perfectly at first. A couple of small hand appliances failed, and someone came immediately to replace them. We requested an extra rubbish pick-up which was accomplished the next day. Every call to TLUXP resulted in an immediate response. Danni of the Concierge Department was super-helpful, advising us on Christmas trees and sleigh rides. Always enthusiastic and happy to help. We had a delightful stay in a very well-run rental property. Thank you, TLUXP, for making it so nice.

Unforgettable

This is a spectacular property for our two-family ski trip and TLUXP came through on every little request to make our stay wonderful. Everything was well thought out—plenty of open space for kids to run around or pile on couches for movies, plenty of nooks for the grownups to mellow out, and a well appointed kitchen and grill patio for those of us who cook. Nothing felt overdone about the decor; this house is impressive and cozy at the same time. We loved every minute.

The house was exactly what we expected from the photographs, and so much more! It was a last minute decision to ski at Northstar and this house couldn't have been better located. It was very well appointed (within walking distance to Timberline lift), very clean and spacious. Communication with the property manager was very straightforward and prompt. The kitchen was very well equipped beyond the high-end range - there was an Instant pot, air fryer, and blender too! The hot tub is new with lots of functions, great after a day of skiing. It really helps that the property is new so it felt very comfortable staying there.

Our family of five rented Fresh Tracks last winter and loved every moment of our stay there. The house is wonderfully designed to be spacious yet cozy, with well-placed bedrooms, a gorgeous kitchen, gathering areas for all ages, and an open and inviting great room. My husband especially loved the office that was both tucked away and full of natural light, for many days of zooming for work. One of the best things about Fresh Tracks is its proximity to the Timberline Lift, which was never crowded and just a short walk down the street. We loved being able to get to our favorite Northstar runs in just a few minutes. We would rent Fresh Tracks again in a heartbeat!

Vacation Rental Agreement

Travel Insurance

We recommend purchasing travel insurance through Generali Global when signing your rental agreement. It helps protect your prepaid, nonrefundable trip costs in case of unforeseen events such as illness or lengthy road closures.

Travel insurance is not available for reservations over $100,000, for travel to destinations less than 100 miles from Renter’s primary residence, or for Renter's with a primary residence located outside of the United States.

Written Permission Required for Pets

Not all homes allow pets. Written approval for pets must be obtained PRIOR to allowing any pet to be present on or about the home. If approval is granted, a Pet Addendum must be signed. We are happy to assist in locating a pet friendly home for you.

What is Provided at Your Vacation Rental Home

Our homes are fully stocked with essentials so you can relax upon arrival. Before packing, view our complete Home Supply List. Once the booking is confirmed you will be provided a link to login to your personal guest portal. This portal will provide essential details about your vacation rental, such as directions to the property, key access, appliance usage instructions, Wi-Fi code, restaurant recommendations, and check-out procedures.

Mail & Package Delivery

USPS does not deliver to your vacation rental home. Mail sent via USPS will be returned. Use FedEx or UPS for deliveries during your stay. Do not leave food deliveries unattended. It will attract wildlife, especially bears.
If you need to send packages before your arrival, contact our office to arrange delivery to our business address via UPS or FedEx.
With Ship Skis you can arrange door-to-door transportation for your ski gear and luggage straight to your Tahoe Luxury Properties vacation rental and back home.

Outdoor Furniture, BBQ Grills & Fire Pits

Patio furniture is available from Memorial Day Weekend through early fall (weather permitting). Furniture is stored during winter months to prevent damage.
Most homes have gas BBQs available year-round. Please inquire if this is an essential amenity for your winter stay. Charcoal grills, wood-burning fire pits, and open flames are strictly prohibited.
On Red Flag Warning days (high fire risk), the use of gas BBQs and fire pits are strictly prohibited. It is Renter's responsibility to know if a red flag warning has been issued. Stay informed by tuning into 1630 AM radio; following the North Tahoe Fire Protection District on Facebook or Twitter (X); checking signage outside district fire stations; reviewing the National Weather Service forecast. Bear Safety

Black bears are active in both Lake Tahoe and Truckee. Improper food storage can lead to serious property damage and safety issues. Do not leave food, trash, or scented items outdoors or in your vehicle. Always lock the doors and windows of the home and your car when unattended. Intentionally leaving food out for bears is illegal. Review our Bear Aware Addendum for more information on staying safe and protecting our local wildlife.

Boating: Buoys & Piers

If your rental includes buoy or pier access, please refer to the Buoy, Mooring Line, and Pier Addendum for full details.

Piers are for pick-up/drop-off only (max 30 minutes). Never leave boats unattended or anchored without supervision.
Lake Tahoe water levels varying depending on seasonal snowfall, affecting the depth for safe pier access.
Check weather conditions before venturing out and be advised that Lake Tahoe weather can change quickly.

Winter Driving (Nov 1st – April 30th)

Driving in the snow-covered mountains of California and Nevada can be both enjoyable and occasionally challenging. Roads and driveways may be steep or icy, and conditions can change quickly. To ensure safe and smooth travel, the California Highway Patrol offers valuable winter driving tips. You can find more information from the CHP here. Make sure your vehicle is winter-ready, with brakes, tires, wipers, and the heater all in top condition. All vehicles, including AWD/4WD, should carry properly-sized tire chains.

Short-Term Rental County Rules

TLUXP manages homes across five counties, each with specific regulations for short-term rental permits. We appreciate your cooperation in following these rules, which are also included in your signed Vacation Rental Agreement.

Maximum Occupancy: No gatherings, events, weddings, or group functions exceeding the occupancy limit listed in your agreement are allowed.
Parking: Street parking is prohibited. All vehicles, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage or driveway.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 8 am, seven days a week. Noise should not be heard from the property line. Please keep noise levels low to avoid disturbing neighbors.
Lights Out: Exterior lights must be turned off between 10 pm and 7 am unless necessary for safety. All lights must be turned off to prevent nuisance to neighbors.
Trash: Due to wildlife in the area, trash must be stored in the metal, bear-resistant trash bin provided. Trash day is posted at the home. Do not leave trash outside.
Hot Tub: The hot tub can only be used between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm.
Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside or outside the home.
