With winter in full swing, Tahoe weekends are packed with events for everyone. Whether you are looking for family fun or a romantic date night, we have plenty of options to choose from! 

 Friday, February 19 

Mountain Table Dinner Series featuring Francis Ford Coppola Winery at Northstar, 6pm-9pm, $120

The Mountain Table Dinner Series offers a unique dining experience in our iconic Zephyr Lodge. Each dinner will feature a winery or brewery complemented by a menu featuring locally and regionally sourced produce and proteins prepared by Zephyr Lodge Executive Chef Aramis Torres. Guests will not only enjoy a fantastic menu, breathtaking views and live music, but there will be a few surprises as well! Seating for all dinners will be family style. Register here.

 Saturday, February 20 

Oakley Grom Jam at Squaw Valley, 10am, FREE

Join us for the 1st annual Oakley Grom Jam in the Belmont Terrain Park. Kids 11 and under can compete against each other in this mini-terrain park competition. Park features include a flat box, flat rail and two small jumps. Prizes for every competitor, and special prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place groms. We'll have Oakley sponsored riders and coaches on hand to give kids tips and encourage safe terrain park skills. Skiers, snowboarders, boys and girls are all invited to compete. Come on out and show off your skills or just learn some new ones!

New Belgium Brewing Scavenger Hunt at Squaw Valley, 8:30am-4pm, $10

Adults and kids alike can partake in a mountain-wide search for clues, prizes, and riddles to be answered all on the slopes of Squaw Valley. An Après-Hunt party with live music, raffles and prizes will be hosted on the KT Base Bar starting at 2pm! All proceeds go to the Biking for a Better World and the Truckee Bike Track. Teams are 1-4 people. Costumes are highly encouraged. 

Glowstick Parade and Carnival at Tahoe Donner, Register at 4:30, Parade at 6:30, FREE

This kids’ version of the Torchlight Parade with glowsticks is geared to children 10 or younger who can ski or ride unassisted in the dark on our Snowbird run. Participants should plan to come early to secure a spot in the Glowstick Parade, and get glowsticks by playing our free carnival games. Music and snacks will be provided in the bar area prior to the parade. 

Wine & Wax Clinic at Tahoe Donner, 5-6:30pm, FREE

Take a free clinic with waxing guru Roger Chaney, who will be explaining the art and science of ski waxing in the public wax room at Alder Creek Adventure Center. Enjoy the Adventure Center’s bar and live music (Tuck Wilson) until 8 p.m. following the clinic.

Full Moon Snowshoe Tour at Tahoe Donner, 6:30-8:30pm, $7.50 or $15 includes Snowshoe Rentals

Take in the beauty of a full moon by participating in a scenic snowshoe hike above Donner Lake. Meet at Trout Creek Recreation Center and caravan to the trailhead. Participants are encouraged to dress in warm layers, including hats and gloves, and bring water, a headlamp or flashlight. Please reserve at least 24 hours in advance. 

Twilight Snowshoe Tour at Northstar, 5-7:30pm, $54 Adults/ $37 Kids, $20 Snowshoe Rentals

Take an evening to slow down and enjoy the peaceful setting of the Sierra Nevada on our guided evening snowshoe tours. The 2 to 2.5 hour guided tour begins at the Cross Country Ski, Telemark & Snowshoe Center at 5pm. The group takes a meandering journey through the pine tree lined forest working your way to the Village at Northstar. During the adventure, you’ll have time around a fire pit to enjoy live acoustic music, s’mores and hot chocolate. Dogs on leashes are welcome to join in the fun!

Full Moon Snowshoe Tour on the West Shore, 6:30pm, $25 Adults, $10 Kids

Explore the cultural history around the Hellman-Ehrman estate and Lake Tahoe with a ranger-led snowshoe tour. Hikes are about 90 minutes. Wear warm clothing. Space is limited. Price includes parking, snowshoes and tour.

New Localism Film Festival by Patagonia at Northstar, 6:30pm, $10

The New Localism Film Festival presented by Patagonia & Northstar California will air four films at The Village Cinemas, benefitting Protect Our Winters. Films include Save the Snake, Mile For Mile, Defined By The Line, and The Fisherman's Son. Tickets include refreshments and a raffle entry.

5Point Film Festival at Olympic Village Lodge, 7pm-9pm, $10

The night will showcase 12 films that span across all outdoor, adventure film, but all are hand picked to get your heart pumping, mind engaged, and self inspired to pursue your own passions, whatever those may be. Expect some heart, some powder, and some stoke to continue winter with style.
