A bounty of yoga studios specialize in a wide range of modalities throughout the region, with classes and workshops designed for all ability levels. Whether you’re looking for a class that focuses on deep stretches after a day on the slopes, or searching for an invigorating fusion class, there’s a studio for you in North Lake Tahoe or Truckee. We love yoga, so we've updated our list for the new year!

Looking for a broad range of classes in the heart of Tahoe City? The Yoga Room is for you. This inviting studio offers a diverse array of classes for all abilities-from Hatha Flow to Aprés-Ski Yoga and Iyengar Alignment. Drop in on the first Friday of every month for their popular Yoga & Wine event, a 1.5 hour restorative yoga class followed by discounted drinks at Uncorked Wine Bar.

Awareness Village in Incline Village is a wonderful option for yoga and Tai Chi classes. Awareness Village is an open space, where people of all abilities and walks of life are made to feel welcome. Their rates are affordable, and they even offer free guided meditation classes periodically. 

Another studio that offers a great range of classes taught by experienced yogis is Wanderlust Yoga Squaw Valley. The studio is located in the heart of the Squaw Village, and is a space that draws inspiration from the surrounding mountains. Outdoor classes in warmer months pay homage to this majestic setting. Wanderlust Yoga Squaw Valley was founded through Squaw Valley’s partnership with the Wanderlust Festival Series, and often features renowned yogis and wellness practitioners leading classes and workshops.  

Explore more than just yoga at The Sanctuary at Brockway, or at the Tahoe Yoga & Wellness Center in Truckee. Both studios create holistic well-being experiences, offering yoga classes as well as a full suite of other wellness products. Enjoy a post-class massage at The Sanctuary, or participate in one of their many workshops-from Conscious Dance to Sound Healing. The Tahoe Yoga & Wellness Center in Truckee has also created a space for healing, restoration, and rejuvenation. Services range from restorative and power yoga classes to Ayurvedic treatments.

Try something new during your next visit! Mountain Lotus Yoga offers various styles of hot yoga. Stretch those weary muscles with a Bikram class, or sweat it out in one of their Inferno Hot Pilates classes. Located right on Lake Tahoe in Tahoe City, you have the option to take a cold plunge after your hot yoga class if you dare! Mountain Lotus also offers paddleboard yoga for all abilities in the summer months--a great chance to breathe in the serenity of Lake Tahoe while working on your physical and mental balance.

Tahoe Flow Arts Studio is another great option for the adventurous yogi. Focusing on more playful forms of movement, Tahoe Flow Arts hosts single- and multi-day workshops hosted by renowned instructors. Express yourself through Kaia Dance, or discover your inner acrobat in one of their aerial silks classes. Other workshops range from Inversions for Everybody to hula-hooping classes.
