The Lake Tahoe Music Festival’s 26-Piece Academy Orchestra is comprised of elite young musicians from across the United States under the direction of Maestro Timm Rolek. Each year brings a new ensemble with different guest artists working together to create three unique programs.

Set against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range "Sunset Serenades" is an intimate setting with five varied and unique classical music concerts at five different locations around Lake Tahoe and Truckee. Attendees bring a picnic, lawn chair or blanket and enjoy classical music in an outdoor setting.
