Patton Landing in Carnelian Bay is a popular dog-friendly beach. It is not a sandy beach, rather it is a about a half mile stretch of pebbly rocks, which are surprisingly comfortable. When the rocks warm in the sun, give yourself a hot stone treatment. The water here is deep, which is great for anyone who loves to jump right in the water, instead of wading out a ways.
Aside from being dog-friendly and great for swimming, this beach offers many conveniences like picnic tables, a cafe, and kayak and paddleboard rentals directly on the beach, all offered through Waterman's Landing. The beach has limited parking (23 cars) and is located directly next to Gar Woods.
