Stunning, panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada mountains make Big Pine a truly magical vacation destination. With beautiful and meticulously maintained landscaping, outdoor living is a hallmark feature. The stone patio with its half-moon sofa is the ideal area to casually lounge in the morning, while the deck with a barbecue accommodates eight for lunch, and the hot tub beckons for lively conversation under the star lit sky in the evening. Just a few minutes from your Tahoe Park Heights neighborhood, approximately 800 feet above lake level, are miles of hiking, biking, and snowshoeing trails. Paige Meadows in particular is an area that is superb for families as it has few hills, yet offers stunning views of the area. And in the spring, Paige Meadows is filled with a variety of wildflowers, and in the fall the aspen leaves turn into a rainbow of colors. Magical.

Inside the home, the great room with its 20' ceiling boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that maximize the views of the crystal clear blue waters, bright sunshine and crisp white snow-capped mountains. Designed and decorated with exquisite style and taste, paying homage to the Native American history here, Big Pine is an ideal blend of comfort, luxury and entertainment. The garage was converted to a spacious family room with a queen sofa sleeper, pool table and TV, to attract families with kids seeking fun in their own space. The kitchen is outfitted with all the features, small appliances and utensils that a chef could desire to make homemade delicacies for the group. Lastly, the bedrooms are all en suite for privacy and the linens were chosen to ensure a cozy and restful night's sleep.

A highly sought feature of any west shore destination is access to the private Tahoe Park HOA amenities, next to Sunnyside Marina and Restaurant. Don't worry, Big Pine has you covered! Enjoy a expansive beach, playground, and shared pier in a lovely lakefront setting. An additional highlight is the ability to rent bikes and travel the paved path all the way to Palisades, along the Truckee River, or spectacular Meeks Bay. Conveniently, you may also chose from a variety of restaurants right down the hill on the days the family prefers to eat out, from breakfast at Firesign Cafe, lunch at West Shore Market and happy hour at Shadyside Lounge. This home includes access to the Tahoe Park HOA with a private beach, shared pier, large grassy area, playground, volleyball court, horseshoes, barbecues & picnic tables, located next to Sunnyside Restaurant.

Anyone renting this property during the snow season (Oct 15-May 15), should bring a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Please be advised, the access road off the main highway is difficult to ascend when covered with snow or ice if one's vehicle is not a 4WD and/or with chains.

Payment Terms

Minimum Night Requirements vary by property, season and arrival date. Online booking is available when your length of stay meets the minimum night requirements. If you would like a shorter stay than required online, please call or email our office, and we will be happy to accommodate your request whenever possible.
Payment Terms: Upon confirmation of the Vacation Rental Agreement, 25% of the base rent (and pet fee, if applicable), as well the full amount of travel insurance (if selected), is due. The balance of the base rent, cleaning fee, and TOT are due 60 days prior to arrival. If the Agreement is entered into less than 60 days prior to arrival, the total amount is due in full with the signed Agreement. Please inquire and/or review the Vacation Rental Agreement for additional information.
Cancellation Policy: For stays that are 29 nights or less, a cancellation must be received in writing 60 days prior to the arrival date. For stays that are 30 nights are longer, a cancellation must be received in writing 90 days prior to the arrival date. A 10% cancellation fee is applied. Travel insurance is offered for purchase to alleviate any potential hardship. Please inquire and/or review the Vacation Rental Agreement for additional information.
Travel Insurance is offered through CSA/Generali Global Assistance. Insurance covers the cost of a cancellation or trip interruption due to unforeseen conditions such as illness or road closures. Coverage may be provided in certain circumstances for baggage delay, theft, medical & dental expenses, or emergency assistance. Please inquire for greater details and/or limitations.

The views are breathtaking. Book this stay if you are still on the fence! We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at home. It was so beautiful that we canceled our lunch reservation and just stayed in! Love the game room, too. Multiple fireplaces making it super cozy to stay in. There are extra beds, blankets and pillows just in case you need as well. Would book again! Thank you!

The house was more beautiful than pictured!! The views were absolutely stunning. Photos truly do not do it justice. You are literally up in the clouds! The house was fully stocked and sparkling clean, and the jacuzzi was the perfect way to end our days after skiing at Palisades.

Thank you so much for an amazing stay at Big Pine Lakeview home! Our family had a fabulous time during our stay, and the house was perfect for our family vacation. The views of Lake Tahoe were gorgeous, and they were from almost every room in the house, including each bedroom. The bedrooms provided plenty of privacy and included private full bathrooms, a huge plus for our adult children. The home was nice and spacious for large family gatherings, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need for cooking, outdoor patio table for evening dinners while enjoying stunning sunset views overlooking the lake. Our family enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub at the end of the day after being on the lake and ending the night in the game room playing pool. I highly recommend this gorgeous vacation home! We are hoping to come back again. I also wanted to mention the fantastic community park on the lake with two docks, sports courts, and picnic tables with grills. Great Time at Big Pine

Our family had a wonderful stay at Big Pine. The lake views are beautiful. It’s close to shopping in Tahoe City and really close to Sunnyside and the private beach club that comes with your stay. It's one of the best TV access rentals I’ve seen. Didn’t need complicated codes and passwords. This rental doesn’t have a garage to store our electric bikes, but we managed with locks. This rental was perfect for us, and we made great new memories of our summer 2023 trip.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay in this house. It looks great in the pictures, but we thought it was even better than it looked. Super clean, comfortable beds, amazing views, the best-stocked kitchen we've ever experienced in a rental, and a game room with enough to keep children busy for hours and hours. Tahoe Luxury Properties are terrific to work with and the house was everything we could have asked for and more. We would come back any time -- highly recommended!

Beautiful views from the large living room windows loved watching the sunrise and sunset over the lake. Went with our young kids who enjoyed sledding on the hill out back. The kitchen was well stocked with all the amenities you would need. Highly recommend and would love to stay again

Wonderful house with lake view and a nice deck overlooking the lake. Home is clean and the kitchen is well stocked. The locating was centrally located making trips to the beach or Tahoe City a breeze. HOA beach is rocky so we didn't use it. My children really enjoyed the pool table and the Xbox!

A Great Winter Break!

Our family of 5 with 3 kids under 10 had a great winter break at Big Pine. Super convenient location on the west side, plenty of room, comfortable living space and bedrooms, and a fantastic yard and view. The backyard was perfect for sledding during the day. We couldn't access the garage, so had to dig our car out of a couple of feet of snow when checking out. Minor downside though and would definitely book this place again.

Lovely house, clean and beautifully decorated. Fantastic view of the lake. Kitchen is fully stocked, and our group of 7 enjoyed having pre-ski-day breakfast there. The driveway is also shoveled for you in the morning, which was very useful. I was generally very happy with our stay here, although one issue we had was that there is a bear wire over the doors that you have to disarm by flipping a switch by the side door. The hosts were super responsive and answered my late night call about how to disarm the wire, but it would have been nice to have had instructions about it in the app.

Staying at Big Pine was such an amazing way to finish off a 10 day trip around California. The house is incredible.... even better than the photos. The minute my friends and I walked in we fell in love with the place. All aspects exceeded my expectations. The views from the bedrooms are out-of-this-world.... I didn’t close the shutters for the entire stay because I didn’t want to miss a sunrise, sunset or the chance to see the stars before i fell asleep. My friends and I enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub looking out across the lake with a glass of wine, so relaxing. The location is perfect. So quiet yet only a 7 minute drive to Tahoe city. Customer service by TLUXP is outstanding - any questions we had were answered promptly. Can’t recommend this place enough, I would go back in a heartbeat! It was very hard to leave!

Our stay was wonderful! The house is exactly as it appears in pictures except for the view. That is even better than pictures. Quiet neighborhood, close to the lake and downtown Tahoe City. This cabin was beautifully appointed with every amenity included. I have stayed at a lot of places in Tahoe and have owned a cabin for many years and this property was in a class by itself. I agree with other comments, the view of the lake from several rooms and the deck was spectacular, photos do not do it justice. This was a splurge for my family over Easter weekend but well worth it.

What a special time we had in this spectacular home! Big Pine is so comfortable and beautifully appointed with top of the line appliances, furniture, and luxurious bedding. The home is in a great location - near to Tahoe City but off the main road and tucked in a quiet neighborhood. There is a spectacular view of Lake Tahoe from the rear deck. Travel Insurance

We recommend purchasing travel insurance through Generali Global when signing your rental agreement. It helps protect your prepaid, nonrefundable trip costs in case of unforeseen events such as illness or lengthy road closures.

Travel insurance is not available for reservations over $100,000, for travel to destinations less than 100 miles from Renter’s primary residence, or for Renter's with a primary residence located outside of the United States.

Written Permission Required for Pets

Not all homes allow pets. Written approval for pets must be obtained PRIOR to allowing any pet to be present on or about the home. If approval is granted, a Pet Addendum must be signed. We are happy to assist in locating a pet friendly home for you.

What is Provided at Your Vacation Rental Home

Our homes are fully stocked with essentials so you can relax upon arrival. Before packing, view our complete Home Supply List. Once the booking is confirmed you will be provided a link to login to your personal guest portal. This portal will provide essential details about your vacation rental, such as directions to the property, key access, appliance usage instructions, Wi-Fi code, restaurant recommendations, and check-out procedures.

Mail & Package Delivery

USPS does not deliver to your vacation rental home. Mail sent via USPS will be returned. Use FedEx or UPS for deliveries during your stay. Do not leave food deliveries unattended. It will attract wildlife, especially bears.
If you need to send packages before your arrival, contact our office to arrange delivery to our business address via UPS or FedEx.
With Ship Skis you can arrange door-to-door transportation for your ski gear and luggage straight to your Tahoe Luxury Properties vacation rental and back home.

Outdoor Furniture, BBQ Grills & Fire Pits

Patio furniture is available from Memorial Day Weekend through early fall (weather permitting). Furniture is stored during winter months to prevent damage.
Most homes have gas BBQs available year-round. Please inquire if this is an essential amenity for your winter stay. Charcoal grills, wood-burning fire pits, and open flames are strictly prohibited.
On Red Flag Warning days (high fire risk), the use of gas BBQs and fire pits are strictly prohibited. It is Renter's responsibility to know if a red flag warning has been issued. Stay informed by tuning into 1630 AM radio; following the North Tahoe Fire Protection District on Facebook or Twitter (X); checking signage outside district fire stations; reviewing the National Weather Service forecast. Bear Safety

Black bears are active in both Lake Tahoe and Truckee. Improper food storage can lead to serious property damage and safety issues. Do not leave food, trash, or scented items outdoors or in your vehicle. Always lock the doors and windows of the home and your car when unattended. Intentionally leaving food out for bears is illegal. Review our Bear Aware Addendum for more information on staying safe and protecting our local wildlife.

Boating: Buoys & Piers

If your rental includes buoy or pier access, please refer to the Buoy, Mooring Line, and Pier Addendum for full details.

Piers are for pick-up/drop-off only (max 30 minutes). Never leave boats unattended or anchored without supervision.
Lake Tahoe water levels varying depending on seasonal snowfall, affecting the depth for safe pier access.
Check weather conditions before venturing out and be advised that Lake Tahoe weather can change quickly.

Winter Driving (Nov 1st – April 30th)

Driving in the snow-covered mountains of California and Nevada can be both enjoyable and occasionally challenging. Roads and driveways may be steep or icy, and conditions can change quickly. To ensure safe and smooth travel, the California Highway Patrol offers valuable winter driving tips. You can find more information from the CHP here. Make sure your vehicle is winter-ready, with brakes, tires, wipers, and the heater all in top condition. All vehicles, including AWD/4WD, should carry properly-sized tire chains.

Short-Term Rental County Rules

TLUXP manages homes across five counties, each with specific regulations for short-term rental permits. We appreciate your cooperation in following these rules, which are also included in your signed Vacation Rental Agreement.

Maximum Occupancy: No gatherings, events, weddings, or group functions exceeding the occupancy limit listed in your agreement are allowed.
Parking: Street parking is prohibited. All vehicles, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage or driveway.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 8 am, seven days a week. Noise should not be heard from the property line. Please keep noise levels low to avoid disturbing neighbors.
Lights Out: Exterior lights must be turned off between 10 pm and 7 am unless necessary for safety. All lights must be turned off to prevent nuisance to neighbors.
Trash: Due to wildlife in the area, trash must be stored in the metal, bear-resistant trash bin provided. Trash day is posted at the home. Do not leave trash outside.
Hot Tub: The hot tub can only be used between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm.
Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside or outside the home.
