Renowned Courses

Just a five-minute drive from Truckee is an alpine valley that is home to the Old Greenwood Golf Course. A Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, Old Greenwood is accessible to golfers of all abilities, but offers long yardage for those who would like a bit of a challenge.

The Golf Club at Gray’s Crossing is the sister course to Old Greenwood and was designed by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy. This course is fair and fun for all ability levels and features a challenging but playful course.

The Coyote Moon Golf Course is serene, and without a home or any development in sight, this course is considered one of the most peaceful golfing experiences around. The course is challenging and dramatic, with the 13th hole boasting a 200-foot drop above a creek. Many elevated tees and dynamic greens make this course a must-play.

The Lahontan Golf Club in Truckee was designed by the talented Tom Weiskopf and works with the elements of the natural landscape to create a course that is both challenging and fair. Expansive fairways and greens allow golfers to keep your ball in play for the entirety of your game.

Best Views

You can golf anywhere in the nation, but golfing in Tahoe means dynamic and rustic mountain terrain accompanied by beautiful views. The Incline Village Championship Course offers glimpses of Lake Tahoe from the more elevated greens. The 18-hole course also offers a driving range, putting and chipping greens, and a clubhouse with all amenities. 

The Links at Squaw Creek are situated in the heart of Olympic Valley with commanding views of Squaw Valley and the surrounding peaks. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. with environmental conservation and preservation in mind. The course blends in seamlessly with the mountain valley, and offers technical short-game challenges.

The Northstar Golf Course also offers ski mountain views. Play golf while soaking in panoramic views of Northstar California as well as the Martis Valley. Immaculate greens and fairways flow with the natural landscape.

The Tahoe Donner Golf Course is challenging but approachable for all abilities. The fast greens and expansive fairways offer wonderful views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. A variety of workshops and coaching clinics will help all levels of golfers to improve their game.

The Old Brockway Golf Course in Kings Beach is a historic course that was designed by Josh Duncan Dunn and built by Harry Comstock. This family-owned course features flowing fairways and greens, and an atmosphere that welcomes all golfers.

The Ponderosa Golf Course in Truckee boasts affordable rates and a long history of bringing golf to the people. The course was first opened by the town of Truckee in 1916, and remains a great public golf course with a relaxed atmosphere.

The Tahoe City Golf Course is a 9-hole course located in the heart of Tahoe City. This family-friendly course invites all abilities. Clinics and workshops will help golfers to hone their skills.
