At Tahoe Luxury Properties, our number one priority is making your Lake Tahoe vacation one you aren't soon to forget. From the beginning of the booking process, our team of Luxury Property Specialists works tirelessly to ensure you are booked into the home that checks all of your "must-haves," whether that be a lake view, gourmet kitchen, or access to the ski slopes. We have you covered.

But, as they say, luxury is in the details! After you are booked in the perfect home, our full-time Concierge Manager is here to assist with all those details that will make your vacation truly spectacular.

We recently took a moment to catch up with our Concierge Manager, Danni, and asked her to share the inside scoop on how concierge services can turn your Tahoe getaway into lifetime memories.

What are the typical concierge requests that you receive?

In the summer: boats, boats, boats! Who wouldn't want to get out on Big Blue? Cruising, water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, sailing, jet skiing... the possibilities are endless. There really is no better way to appreciate the grandness of Lake Tahoe than to be out on the water. Our lakefront guests, especially, like to have a boat at their home for the duration of their stay, so lake access is simple and just steps away. The best part is that our vendors will deliver the boat right to the buoy at the home, so guests arrive to their vacation rental with the boat ready to use.

During the winter season: ski rentals! We work with the Ski Butlers, a ski rental and delivery service that will come right to our guests, by showing up and meeting people at their vacation rental home. Getting geared up has never been this easy.

Our two most popular services, year-round are: private chefs and grocery shopping & delivery services.

Tell us about the most memorable vacation experiences you have helped create.

One of my favorite clients was coming to Tahoe with his family (aunts, uncles, twenty-something year old kids.. the whole gang) to celebrate his wife's 60th birthday. He wanted to make it extra special for her. On her actual birthday a 50' sailboat came and picked them up from their lakefront vacation rental home for a sunset sail. The boat then dropped them off at Wolfdale's Cuisine Unique, where they enjoyed the chef's table for dinner. The following day we had arranged for a private painting class, where they all painted the gorgeous view they were looking at during their vacation from their own lawn! Lastly, they had a private history lesson with a local historian complete with autographed copies of the historian's book he had written as a souvenir to remember the occasion!!

What is the craziest concierge experience you have set up?

We arranged an AMAZING pre-wedding yacht party. The party was complete with a private chef serving delicious appetizers, bartenders making sure everyone had a beverage in hand, a two piece band on the bow, stunning florals spread throughout the boat, an interior designer to give the boat special touches, and departure gifts upon disembarkment. It was beautiful! And on their way back from the dock I could hear everyone singing and dancing on the bow. It really was such a fulfilling moment after months of planning!

What is an under-the-radar event, hike, or thing to do that more people should know about?

Every year, I look forward to Shakespeare at the Lake. Watching a performance on a lakefront stage with your feet in the sand and the backdrop of Lake Tahoe is such a unique experience and one you won't find anywhere else. I would also say that the fall season is highly underrated in Tahoe. The hiking and biking is still wonderful, the air is crisp, the aspens are turning yellow. Boats are often still in the water. The first time I saw the red salmon spawning with the yellow aspens in the background, I was mesmerized.

What is the #1 thing you wish you could tell people who will be visiting Tahoe for the first time?

You're going to splurge on an activity--what would it be?

I would love to do a private snowcat ski adventure into the Lake Tahoe wilderness. I also would love to take a hot air balloon ride over the lake. Lake Tahoe Balloons takes off from a barge on the lake... how cool!!
