The Dollar Point neighborhood is well positioned to enjoy a plethora of activities, with its central location between Kings Beach and Tahoe City. Stroll or cruise the bike path from the neighborhood to downtown Tahoe City and beyond, following the flowing Truckee River to Olympic Valley. Enjoy family-friendly events all summer long at Commons Beach. In the winter, this neighborhood is central to numerous world-class skiing options, including Palisades Tahoe, Northstar California, and Homewood Mountain Resort. The nearby sled hill at Granlibakken is fun for all ages, and the Tahoe City Winter Sports Park offers ice skating, sledding, and winter trails. Across the street, the Tahoe XC Center, a local's favorite, offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, and in the summer is an extensive trail network for hiking and mountain biking, with beautiful, scenic trails for all levels. Payment Terms

Minimum Night Requirements vary by property, season and arrival date. Online booking is available when your length of stay meets the minimum night requirements. If you would like a shorter stay than required online, please call or email our office, and we will be happy to accommodate your request whenever possible.
Payment Terms: Upon confirmation of the Vacation Rental Agreement, 25% of the base rent (and pet fee, if applicable), as well the full amount of travel insurance (if selected), is due. The balance of the base rent, cleaning fee, and Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) are due 60 days prior to arrival. If the Agreement is entered into less than 60 days prior to arrival, the total amount is due in full with the signed Agreement. For all payments paid by credit card, a non-refundable credit card processing fee of 3.8% will be added to the total amount. Please inquire and/or review the Vacation Rental Agreement for additional information.
Cancellation Policy: For stays that are 29 nights or less, a written cancellation must be received 60 days prior to the arrival date. For stays that are 30-59 nights, a written cancellation must be received 90 days prior to the arrival date. For stays that are 60 nights or longer, a written cancellation must be received 120 days prior to the arrival date. For cancellations made prior to the non-refundable deadline, a 10% cancellation fee is applied. This fee is subject to applicable county TOT. Cancellations made after the canclleation deadlines will not be refunded. Travel insurance premiums are non-refundable at all times.
Travel Insurance is offered through CSA/Generali Global Assistance. Insurance covers the cost of a cancellation or trip interruption due to unforeseen conditions such as illness or road closures. Coverage may be provided in certain circumstances for baggage delay, theft, medical & dental expenses, or emergency assistance. Please inquire for greater details and/or limitations.

This house looks better in reality than in the pictures - when does that ever happen? The kitchen appliances and amenities were great for making big family dinners. We loved how communicative the Tahoe Luxury Properties team was as well. On our 3rd day it snowed over 2 feet and we needed to extend our stay because it was not safe to drive home and they made it really easy for us.

We had a great stay at this property! The place was very clean, easy to get to, views of the lake through the trees, and a grill and hot tub outside on the deck. We had 4 adults and 2 babies and the space was perfect for us. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom downstairs, and 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a loft with a small bed upstairs. The rooms downstairs were pretty small. Overall, enjoyed our stay! Just wish we had more time :)

Can’t say enough good things. Great location, comfy beds with amazing sheets, kitchen that’s easy to cook in, quiet and lovely neighborhood. Such a pretty house!! We were greeted with a fruit bowl, bread, and wine - not expected but a really nice touch. Minor maintenance issue but the property management company owner came over at night to fix it. Very impressed by her kindness. We hope to stay again.

Absolutely wonderful home and beautifully appointed. Looked like a brand new remodel. One of the best equipped homes I have rented - kitchen, bathroom and bedroom amenities were very well thought out. Great deck with hot tub and peekaboo views of the lake. Our family of 7 adults and 2 children found this home to be spacious enough with plenty of beds and very very welcoming. Looks just like the pictures online and the location is wonderful - a great quiet neighborhood. Loved all the special touches, including the bottle of wine waiting for us! Will definitely come back here again!

This was really an amazing space and we had a wonderful time. Very close to the lake and the surrounding ski areas. Most impressive to me was that we had 3 feet of snow while we were there and the driveway and streets were plowed almost immediately, allowing us easy access in and out to the major roads. Some of the surrounding blocks were not plowed so I think the managers of this location have something to do with getting the street plowed. Either way, a fantastic location and great management! Recommend highly.

We had a lovely week long stay and really enjoyed our time at Twilight Ridge house. The beds were very comfortable (I'm considering buying the sheets that they have) and the space was large enough for 6 adults and 2 kids to spend time together comfortably. The host was very responsive to our calls as we locked ourselves out of the bathroom once and needed some additional guidance on how to handle the trash-- both issues were quickly resolved. Everyone had a great time in a beautiful space. Great way to ring in the New Year!

We loved everything about this house. We have been vacationing in Tahoe for more than 25 years and this our favorite place so far. The location is great and the house is cozy and grand at the same time. The great room with open kitchen worked so well for our extended family to hang out and cook together. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with high-quality cookware, good knives and nice dishware. The deck with its very large hot tub and table with seating for 6 allowed great indoor/outdoor living. The property had a lot of nice touches like providing comfortable beach chairs and fluffy beach towels. The beds were very comfortable with nice bedding. We will definitely be back.

Boy have we been missing out! We've stayed at various properties throughout Tahoe and this is now No. 1 in our book. We were greeted with a nice bottle of wine and it was all perfection from there. The house is located a couple a miles from a grocery store and restaurants. The house has everything you would ever want not to mention a beautiful view. I couldn't wait to get up and look outside every day. I really loved the quartz countertops and blue cabinets -- it modernized the home. Even the utensils were classy. Details were not spared in this slice of heaven. We will definitely seek out this home first when we return.

My family rented this home in June and we loved it. Dollar Point has a great pool and beach that works perfect for the kids. The house was very well equipped, they even had beach chairs. My wife and I are just completing a stay at Twilight Ridge and found everything to be perfect. Kelly and her team rent and sell only the finest Lake Tahoe properties and Twlight Ridge at Dollar Point is no exception. This three bedroom, 2 bath home is perfectly appointed for a Tahoe vacation and located in a quiet family friendly neighborhood with Tahoe City only minutes away. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could ever need and the appliances are all very up to date. We didn't use the gas barbecue or the spa but they look brand new. It is by far the best house we have ever rented.

We have rented many homes in the Tahoe area and this was by far our favorite. The decor is fabulous. The dining room table is actually a cedar log cut in rings and hollowed out, so cool. Everything was as depicted, and in perfect conditions. Holly from TLUXP was always there in case of any need. However we had an issue with a squirrel (I guess) that got within the roof and was there during three nights without allowing us to have a good rest at night. I know that being in the woods you are exposed to such problems but it was not treated efficiently. Everything else worked just perfect. We found everything we needed for having a good time. Worth going to common lake shore deck and facilities.

Travel Insurance

We recommend purchasing travel insurance through Generali Global when signing your rental agreement. It helps protect your prepaid, nonrefundable trip costs in case of unforeseen events such as illness or lengthy road closures.

Written Permission Required for Pets

Not all homes allow pets. Written approval for pets must be obtained PRIOR to allowing any pet to be present on or about the home. If approval is granted, a Pet Addendum must be signed. We are happy to assist in locating a pet friendly home for you.

What is Provided at Your Vacation Rental Home

Our homes are fully stocked with essentials so you can relax upon arrival. Before packing, view our complete Home Supply List. Once the booking is confirmed you will be provided a link to login to your personal guest portal. This portal will provide essential details about your vacation rental, such as directions to the property, key access, appliance usage instructions, Wi-Fi code, restaurant recommendations, and check-out procedures.

Mail & Package Delivery

USPS does not deliver to your vacation rental home. Mail sent via USPS will be returned. Use FedEx or UPS for deliveries during your stay. Do not leave food deliveries unattended. It will attract wildlife, especially bears.
If you need to send packages before your arrival, contact our office to arrange delivery to our business address via UPS or FedEx.
With Ship Skis you can arrange door-to-door transportation for your ski gear and luggage straight to your Tahoe Luxury Properties vacation rental and back home.

Outdoor Furniture, BBQ Grills & Fire Pits

Patio furniture is available from Memorial Day Weekend through early fall (weather permitting). Furniture is stored during winter months to prevent damage.
Most homes have gas BBQs available year-round. Please inquire if this is an essential amenity for your winter stay. Charcoal grills, wood-burning fire pits, and open flames are strictly prohibited.
On Red Flag Warning days (high fire risk), the use of gas BBQs and fire pits are strictly prohibited. It is Renter's responsibility to know if a red flag warning has been issued. Stay informed by tuning into 1630 AM radio; following the North Tahoe Fire Protection District on Facebook or Twitter (X); checking signage outside district fire stations; reviewing the National Weather Service forecast. Bear Safety

Black bears are active in both Lake Tahoe and Truckee. Improper food storage can lead to serious property damage and safety issues. Do not leave food, trash, or scented items outdoors or in your vehicle. Always lock the doors and windows of the home and your car when unattended. Intentionally leaving food out for bears is illegal. Review our Bear Aware Addendum for more information on staying safe and protecting our local wildlife.

Boating: Buoys & Piers

If your rental includes buoy or pier access, please refer to the Buoy, Mooring Line, and Pier Addendum for full details.

Piers are for pick-up/drop-off only (max 30 minutes). Never leave boats unattended or anchored without supervision.
Lake Tahoe water levels varying depending on seasonal snowfall, affecting the depth for safe pier access.
Check weather conditions before venturing out and be advised that Lake Tahoe weather can change quickly.

Winter Driving (Nov 1st – April 30th)

Driving in the snow-covered mountains of California and Nevada can be both enjoyable and occasionally challenging. Roads and driveways may be steep or icy, and conditions can change quickly. To ensure safe and smooth travel, the California Highway Patrol offers valuable winter driving tips. You can find more information from the CHP here. Make sure your vehicle is winter-ready, with brakes, tires, wipers, and the heater all in top condition. All vehicles, including AWD/4WD, should carry properly-sized tire chains.

Short-Term Rental County Rules

TLUXP manages homes across five counties, each with specific regulations for short-term rental permits. We appreciate your cooperation in following these rules, which are also included in your signed Vacation Rental Agreement.

Maximum Occupancy: No gatherings, events, weddings, or group functions exceeding the occupancy limit listed in your agreement are allowed.
Parking: Street parking is prohibited. All vehicles, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage or driveway.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 8 am, seven days a week. Noise should not be heard from the property line. Please keep noise levels low to avoid disturbing neighbors.
Lights Out: Exterior lights must be turned off between 10 pm and 7 am unless necessary for safety. All lights must be turned off to prevent nuisance to neighbors.
Trash: Due to wildlife in the area, trash must be stored in the metal, bear-resistant trash bin provided. Trash day is posted at the home. Do not leave trash outside.
Hot Tub: The hot tub can only be used between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm.
Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside or outside the home.
